"Representatives of the media have been evicted from a forum on nursing human resources in St. John’s, despite being notified of the event by officials with Health and Community Services." - the Telegram.
"I don't think there's anybody in my caucus that would be as capable of handling this firestorm ... as Minister (Ross) Wiseman," - Premier Danny Williams, less than three weeks ago.
Of course, that was before he considered the prospect of a microphone or a camera being within fifty feet of the man. Now he's suddenly off-limits to reporters.
Seriously - if the Premier won't allow him to be seen in public, why should you?

From the CTV story, "There are areas where government, I guess, was probably not as diligent as they could've been," Williams conceded.
With nuggets of wisdom like this, God knows what Gomphus clavatus would say before the cameras. (Maybe he got "in camera" and "before the camera" confused.)
But let's stick with DW for a moment and follow the twisted syntax. Here's the resulting syllogism: they were insufficiently diligent; government is they; therefore government was insufficiently diligent.
The conclusion? Failing to do your job is insufficient to get you relieved or reassigned.
