A Federal Court judge ruled against several VIA employees who challenged VIA's requirement for bilingualism for on board service staff.
This is good news for proponents of bilingualism, particularly with respect to federal Crown corporations and other federally-regulated services.
It's bad news, however, for the NDP and the Bloc, who have been voting in the House this past year to try and remove bilingualism requirements from such entities.
